Holiday eCard Malware

eCard Virus ImageCoinciding with the end of the year, a new spam email has been appearing in mailboxes indicating the arrival of a Christmas or New Year's card, with a link to click to get the card. However, the "card" is actually a trojan program known as Waledac.

NACS has seen downloads of card.exe or ecard.exe, with some systems infected. Many vendors' anti-virus products are not yet properly detecting the Waledac trojan program when it is downloaded and run.

As such, please do not click on the link in one of these email messages indicating the availability of a card as described above.
